Joy Njeri Njihia

Partner at What Matters
Social Justice

Nairobi, Kenya

Joy brings a rich mix of heart, strategy, and lived experience to What Matters. Her path has moved through global brands, grassroots justice work, and entrepreneurial ventures—always guided by a deep commitment to human dignity, equity, and the kind of growth that lifts everyone.

From her early work at L’Oréal East Africa to founding her own venture, Fruity Pap, Joy has cultivated a strong foundation in resource management, innovation, and organizational development. Her passion for justice has also led her into advocacy—collaborating with the International Criminal Court (ICC) and Kituo Cha Sheria to support victims of injustice and strengthen human rights systems.

At her core, Joy is a builder of bridges. She knows how to navigate complex systems, bring people together, and turn big ideas into grounded, human-centered change. Her voice at What Matters is grounded in the belief that each of us holds the power—and responsibility—to shape the world we’re part of. She works to weave that truth into everything she touches, always with an eye toward regeneration, inclusion, and long-term impact.

Joy stands for a future where human potential isn’t just protected—it’s activated. Where economy meets justice. And where change begins from the inside out.
